Nuh, Haryana, India

About Nuh

Nuh is part of Mewat, a region spread across Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Challenges such as poor infrastructure, limited road and rail connectivity, inadequate
healthcare, lack of education, and insufficient market access for agricultural produce hinder the region’s growth. According to Niti Aayog’s it ranks amongst the 101st most backward district in India.
Aakera and the Dihana villages in Nuh are the latest amongst the adopted communities of FFEC. Sir Syed Trust(SST) is our implementation partner.

Our plan for our first year, 2026 is to strengthen the local government girls school and establishing a community learning center with a library.

A big challenge and hinderance to girls’ education is that schools do not have functional toilets or water. Our goal for the year is to build toilets in 3 schools.

Our Adopted Communities

Okhla Ph 2, South Delhi

We have adopted the slum, Sanjay Colony and are engaging with 1,500 households and 8000 residents consisting of a profile similar to Trilokpuri and primarily working in the garments export industry as daily wagers.

Nuh, Haryana

We have adopted 2 villages, Akaira and Dihana in rural Mewat area covering 1,500 households. Although this area is just a few kilometers from technology hub, Gurgaon, it is considered one of the most backward areas of India with low literacy rates, particularly amongst girls.
